Brazilian Rosewood Custom Hybrid

A very unusual guitar. Ariel sized body, but with a 14-fret neck, more like a Goodfellow. I do get asked for this combination from time to time, but not with this level of specification.

Figured Brazilian Rosewood back and sides. Sinker Redwood soundboard. Burr Yew bindings (we don’t know any other maker who uses this rare timber), with fine red borders. The neck is laminated from mahogany and Ebony again with red lines to emphasise the different timbers.

Abalone shell inlay round the soundhole and the edge of the body and around the headstock, which is also bound with burr Yew.

Abalone shell diamond fingerboard inlays, Gotoh 510 Tuners.

An exceptional guitar for a very discerning customer.
