The original Fylde Guitar, designed with the emerging styles of the early 1970’s in mind - its wide fingerboard and short string length are ideal for fingerstyle players, and its evenly balanced bright tone is excellent for recording. Earlier models used Sitka spruce for the tops, but we have used Englemann spruce for extra richness since about 1995.

Some details of the inlay and dimensions have changed slightly, but the basic design has been so successful that it has remained unchanged for over thirty years.

Indian Rosewood sides and 2 piece back, master grade Englemann Spruce top, one piece Honduras Mahogany neck, Ebony fingerboard and bridge, pearl position markers, gold plated Gotoh tuners, Rosewood bindings with marquetry borders, marquetry purfling lines on front. Hiscox Liteflite case included.
