There are various versions of “Citterns” available. The Fylde design has ten strings and is usually used mostly to play chords, although there are many different styles of playing and tuning. We are happy to discuss all of this.
With the Rosewood and Spruce combination, the rich deep sound becomes brighter and more prominent amongst other instruments, and is perhaps more suited to playing melody. This is the original Fylde Cittern design, and probably the model most often chosen by professional players.
Indian Rosewood 3 piece back and sides, Spruce top, Honduras Mahogany neck, Ebony fingerboard and bridge, gold plated Gotoh tuners, Rosewood bindings with marquetry borders, marquetry purfling lines on front.
